Police In El Dorado Find Newborn Baby

A newborn baby found in a ditch in El Dorado by a pedestrian had a lowered body temperature but was otherwise healthy. The baby boy was found at about 10:30 a.m. yesterday, when the temperature in El Dorado was 32 degrees. El Dorado police Captain Carolyn Dykes says the infant was about six hours old when he was found. The baby remains hospitalized and is in the custody of the state Department of Human Services. Dykes said police are trying to find the mother. She says it`s not clear whether charges are warranted. Police are more concerned about the mother`s health.
