Clark Wins In Early Voting In New Hampshire

Wesley Clark won the initial votes cast this morning in New Hampshire`s Democratic presidential primary, the first be counted in a state primary this year. Clark was the only major candidate to visit two of the New Hampshire`s smallest hamlets -- Dixville and Hart`s Location -- where residents cast and count their votes in the early minutes of Election Day. Clark received six votes in Hart`s Location. John Kerry had five, Howard Dean three, John Edwards two. Clark, who was in Dixville at the Balsam`s hotel as the ballots were counted minutes after midnight, won the community with eight votes. Kerry had three, Edwards two and Dean and Joe Lieberman one each. Clark says he looks forward to the rest of the voting today. The retired general is basing his presidential campaign in his hometown of Little Rock.
