Update: Magic Springs Won`t Sell Beer

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Arkansas` Alcohol Beverage Control is denying Magic Springs amusement park a license to sell beer and wine because of resident opposition. A-B-C director Robert Moore says of more than a thousand letters on the subject, 700 were written to protest alcohol at the park. The amusement park, which is promoted largely to families, applied for the same permit several years ago, but withdrew the application because of opposition before it could be processed. If Magic Springs officials want to dispute the decision, they can appeal to the A.B.C. board. Posted by Mike Hellgren
