AR Dept. of Correction Drafts Contingency Plan

AR Deparment of Correction board members will slash jobs and cut costs if the state government decides to shut down. Members approved a plan to reduce costs to $500,000 a day. The plan also calls for layoffs of about 1,200 people, cutting the staff to about 2,800. The final plan is now on its way to the Governor.
