Updated: January 7, 2009
Pine Bluff leaders say they hope a new downtown pavilion that would house a farmer`s market will be a center for other gatherings, too. The city is pursuing a one-point-three (m) million dollar federal grant -- money it hopes will ultimately aid in revitalizing the city`s downtown. The proposed center would be downtown on the banks of Lake Fort Smith. Already, a local group has raised about 250-thousand dollars to help fund the project.
