Student Charged In School Fire

A senior at Perry-Casa High School has been arrested and charged with setting a fire that burned two buildings on the school`s campus. Officials say 18-year-old John Robert Wallace was being held in the Perry County Jail on 30-thousand dollars bail. Sheriff`s officials say he is charged with arson, burglary and criminal mischief. The January tenth fire appeared to have begun in an old cafeteria that was converted into a room for distance learning. The flames spread to a nearby building for students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades.
