Updated: January 7, 2009
After a record-breaking 2003, Magic Springs amusement park in Hot Springs is gearing up for a busy 2004. The park is unveiling new rides and an expanded concert series, but it`s a controversial proposal that`s getting the most attention: allowing beer sales at the park`s Riverwood Amphitheatre. Critics of the plan have flooded the Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Board with letters. Monday night, the Garland County Quorum Court sided with opponents. Now, the case goes to the ABC director for a hearing that could happen as early as the middle of next week.
