Two Pine Bluff aldermen indicted on extortion charges by a federal grand jury have filed court papers seeking more information about the government`s case. Jack Foster and Billy Freeman were indicted on December fifth for allegedly accepting money in return for supporting a rezoning proposal that was expected to be considered by the Pine Bluff City Council. Foster and Freeman, through their lawyers, have asked for copies of any written or recorded statements made during questioning by investigators. They also want to know whether investigators engaged in any electronic surveillance to gather information that led to charges. Foster and Freeman have each pleaded innocent.
