Last-Minute Shoppers Hit The Stores

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Holiday shoppers are hitting the stores for some last minute shopping. Retailers say they are having a respectable year but analysts say the lack of must-have items is helping put a damper on sales. Bentonville-based Wal-Mart says it expects sales at stores open at least a year to come in at the low end of its projected three percent to five percent increase. Wal-Mart says it will release weekly sales figures on Friday, earlier than its usual Monday release.
