Arkansas` Republican Party chairman is
disbanding a committee formed to investigate the party`s money
troubles.
Reta Hamilton says she will instead name a new panel to look
into the state G-O-P, which is reported to be more than
three-hundred-thousand-dollars in the red.
Marty Ryall quit as the state party chairman on October 22nd.
And four other state GOP employees either quit or were let go to
lower expenses.
The party is negotiating with the Federal Election Commission
over a fine relating to recent campaign violations uncovered in an
F-E-C audit. The audit found the party overstated its receipts by
nearly nine-hundred-thousand-dollars in 2000.
