Air Travel Down At Little Rock National Airport This Thanksgiving

Updated: January 7, 2009
Little Rock National Airport expects to handle about 16-hundred fewer passengers for the Thanksgiving travel period this year than a year ago. The airport says it projects 28-thousand-190 passengers will use the airport for the five days starting Wednesday and ending Sunday. A year ago, 29-thousand-845 passengers went through the airport in the same period. The airport says the busiest days will be Wednesday and Sunday. Passengers should arrive early at the airport, considering the travel crunch and security measures. ------ The airport says all of its surface parking lots and its parking deck are open. Pickup trucks with closed beds, panel vans and trailers are barred from short-term lots and the parking deck. Those vehicles can park in the long-term surface lots. All vehicles entering the short-term lots and the parking deck are subject to visual inspection.
