High school students in Arkansas will have
access to classes on how to use credit cards wisely, under a
program that involves local bankers.
The Arkansas Department of Workforce Development announced today
it will sponsor a ten-part class on credit management in the
state`s high schools. Local bankers will be provided with the
course material and will go into Arkansas high schools to talk with
teenage students in particular.
Department officials say the program has been used in other
states but Arkansas will be the first in the country to offer it
statewide. They hope every student in Arkansas will go through the
program by the time he or she graduates.
