Clark Supporters Start R-V Tour

Updated: January 7, 2009
Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark plan to crisscross the country in recreational vehicles, meeting with voters and campaigning for the former Army general. One group will hit Southern states; another will make stops in the North. Clark will meet staffers in some cities along the way. The "Race for America" kicks off Friday in Little Rock and Washington and ends on December second. On the southern leg, the group will make stops in Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia before ending in South Carolina. Staffers headed north will stop in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island and wind up in New Hampshire. Clark officials say the effort marries online campaigning with field work. Clark supporters can vote online for the R-V team that campaigns best on the road. Posted by Mike Hellgren
