The White County Aging Program put some senior citizens up for adoption to make their holiday`s brighter.
The program`s holding a "Wishing Stars" tree.
White stars represent the seniors and when one of them is adopted, the star is changed to silver.
The director says many of the seniors say they`re asking for the basics like underwear, fruit or slippers.
"We`re a society that has so much to give, and if a senior is in need we should be there to at least provide basic needs," said Pat Tedder, the program`s director.
If you would like to adopt a Wishing Star, you can call the aging program at 501-268-2587.
You can also look around your community for other seniors in need.
