Bullet proof vest not bullet proof

The Arkansas state attorney is now asking a Michigan company to refund the state for 185 thousand dollars. That`s what state police paid for 200 plus bullet proof vest last summer. But in June, an officer in Forrest Hills, Pennsylvania was shot while wearing one of those vest designed by Second Chance. The company is blaming a subcontractor which made fiber for the vest and are encouraging law enforcement to simply upgrade the vest. But Attorney General Mike Beebe wants a refund. State police say they purchased the vest because they were light weight and more flexible than average bullet proof vest. Until a deal is made, state police have gone back to wearing the old vest. Capitol police in Little Rock were also using Second Chance vest.
