Viagara For Babies

Updated: January 7, 2009
Viagra, the drug famous for treating male impotence, is now being used in hospitals nationwide to help babies with high blood pressure around their lungs. In Little Rock, a doctor at Arkansas Children`s Hospital has been prescribing Viagra for children for months. Doctor Jerril Green, who is treating a two-year-old boy with Viagra, says the drug helps babies breathe better by enlarging blood vessels around the lungs. Green started using Viagra in children a few months ago, but he says the drug has been used nationally for about a year. Children receive a tiny dose compared to what an adult would take.
