Former President Bill Clinton is in Jonesboro
this afternoon to start off a two-day trip to his native state.
Today he is lecturing at Arkansas State University today, Later,
the former president plans to travel to Memphis to receive a civil
rights award. And appearances in Little Rock are slated for
tomorrow.
In Little Rock, Clinton is scheduled to attend the
ground-breaking of the new headquarters for Heifer International,
the nonprofit organization that helps poor families worldwide. He
also plans to unveil a new art scholarships program.
Then, before heading back to New York, he will host a group of
young Little Rock professionals at a downtown hotel to raise money
for the 160 million dollar presidential library being built on
the banks of the Arkansas River.
