Clark Visits Florida

Democratic presidential hopeful Wesley Clark waded into the South Florida political landscape today, touting his party credentials while calling President Bush`s record "reckless, radical and wrong." It was the retired general`s second campaign appearance in south Florida. With Florida Senator Bob Graham`s departure from the presidential field last week, the state is now considered fertile territory for fund-raising and the support of activists. Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman is traveling to the state later in the week. Clark described his decision to enter the presidential race, telling the audience that Bush`s first term made him move forward after a military career spanning nearly 40 years. He says the Bush administration has been "reckless, radical and wrong" in its handling of the war in Iraq and its stewardship of domestic policy. Posted by Mike Hellgren
