Fair Rides Get Green Light

All 65 rides at Arkansas State Fair have passed the initial inspections, officials said today. Since Tuesday, state inspectors hit the midway, checking the rides for potential danger. Carnival operators also had their own inspectors working the fair. "They`re going over the proper installations, make sure everything is fine and that we don`t have any problems," says Darrell Desgranges, director of carnival operations." Organizers tell us they plan to have routine inspections during the fair as well.
