Survivors and Supporters Walk Against Breast Cancer

More than 35,000 walked through downtown Little Rock today to make the local Race for the Cure the 7th largest in the world.
That race included 1,800 survivors of the disease.
"So this is all new to me. I was devastated at 1st, but I know in my heart I`m gonna beat it," said Kathy Davenport, who was diagnosed in August.
This year is the race`s 10th anniversary.
The first one only had 2,200 participants.
"That really says soemthing for the awareness. People are knowing what to do, how to find it and they`re surviving this," said Stuart Cobb, a 14-year survivor who chaired the first race in 1993.
"Please do self breast exams, monthly breast exams. I took a lot of that for granted, I didn`t do it faithfully like I should have," said Kathy Davenport, who was just diagnosed in August.
