Russellville doctor, Randeep Mann, Thursday told the Arkansas State Medical Board that for four years the law enforcement there has been trying to run him out of town.
That`s why the allegations that he traded sex for drugs and overprescribed some of his patients surfaced.
Those are just a couple of the several charges the board had against Mann.
The Board attorney, Bill Trice, questioned Mann about several of his patients, many of whom were later treated for overdose or later died from it.
"If patients die of cocaine overdose or some other medication that I haven`t prescribed to them, I don`t see how I`m responsible. I don`t see how I am responsible for a patient I give 60 Methadones or 60 (other drugs) to who takes them all the same day and dies," Mann told the board.
Mann says most of the allegations aren`t true and that police offered to pay some women to make them.
Mann did admit to prescibing methadone to some patients even though he did not have a federal license for it.
