The Pulaski County prosecutor says a
University of Arkansas trustee and a former Razorback basketball star have settled their differences outside of criminal court.
So Prosecutor Larry Jegley says no one will be charged as the result of a golf course altercation between university trustee Carl Johnson and former N-B-A player Darrell Walker.
Johnson`s lawyer, former county prosecutor Mark Stodola, said
Friday, quote, "Chalk it up to a bad day for everyone," unquote.
Jegley began his review after police investigated the August 31st altercation at Chenal Country Club in west Little Rock. The two at the center of the case were Johnson, a Little Rock doctor, and Walker, who played in the 1980s and early 1990s for several
N-B-A teams. They included the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets,
Washington Bullets and Chicago Bulls.
Jegley said police interviews provided conflicting information
about who started the fight. But he said he was prepared to "make a call" about filing charges if the two men hadn`t agreed to withdraw their complaints
