Several people were involved in a heroic rescue effort Wednesday afternoon to save the life of a Pulaski County woman trapped in a burning mobile home. Investigators say 61-year-old Patsy Foote suffered serious burn injuries in the fire. The fire happened at Foote`s home on Amazon Lane in the Landmark community. When fire crews arrived, Mrs. Foote -- who is confined to a wheelchair -- had just been pulled from the flames. John Rehrauer, the spokesman for the Pulaski County Sheriff`s Department, tells News 4 Arkansas, "There was a relative in the house with her when the fire started. He attempted to get her out. Three people from the area, neighbors, came running over and helped get her out and save her." A firefighter was also taken to the hospital to be treated for burns on his ears. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Story filed by: Lyndall Stout
