Arkansas State University will soon break ground for a new building in Newport.
The school says the building is needed because of a higher-than-expected enrollment.
The building will house administrative offices and community meeting rooms.
This year, enrollment swelled to about 1,101 students.
Construction is slated to begin in January at a cost of $4 million. ASU raised the money in a bond offering earlier this year.
