Fall Colors Coming!

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The first of the fall colors in Arkansas should start showing themselves in a little over a week. Starting October second, the state Parks and Tourism Department will begin posting its weekly fall color updates on its Web site. The first leaves are expected to turn in the Ozarks in northwest Arkansas. Officials say the weather has been favorable so far this year to bring a healthy show of color. Warm, sunny days and cool nights this month and next should make for colorful landscapes. The Parks and Tourism Department has volunteer "color spotters" in each region of the state who will give the agency updated information. ------ On the Net: Arkansas Parks and Tourism Department: click on the following link : www.arkansas.com
