It`s never too late to register for the race that`s fighting to cure breast cancer. Friday morning, the Susan G. Komen Foundation opened it`s Race for the Cure space in University Mall, where anyone can go to register for race-day activities. The space also has a boutique where participants can purchase race paraphenalia while raising money for the Komen foundation. "It`s very helpful. I raised almost $1 million last year to give grants, promote programs, eradicate breast cancer. So it`s very important, it`s the largest fund-raiser we do," said Sheila Vaught, Race for the Cure. This year the staff is reminding participants to bring a friend to get more people involved. Their goal this year is 40,000 participants.
