You`ll have to go elsewhere for your fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Elvis Presley Enterprises announced today it has closed the Beale Street Restaurant. The company, which is the business arm of the Presley estate, issued a news release saying it will continue to lease and control the Lansky Building, but has new plans for it. The company noted continued downtown growth and said it wanted to "maximize the benefits" of the restaurant location. The peanut butter and banana sandwich was a favorite snack of Presley`s. The restaurant menu listed its version as "brushed with butter and grilled to perfection."
