The FBI is again taking up the search for an Arkansas man who escaped from jail in 1988. Jerome Allen Bargo was arrested on a drug charge in North Carolina earlier this month. But he gave police an alias and was released before his identity was verified through fingerprints. Bargo has escaped from Arkansas jails at least four times, the last time on May 10th, 1988, while serving 140 years for the attempted murder of a Bentonville police officer and a string of thefts. The 48-year-old has eluded police, the FBI and US marshals despite appearing at least four times on popular television shows "America`s Most Wanted" and "Unsolved Mysteries" and in a set of 100 playing cards entitled "Wanted by the FBI."
