Women-Owned Businesses Bucking Economic Trend

Sisters are doing it for themselves and doing it well, according to a new study. A survey conducted by MassMutual Financial Group polled 1,400 women-owned businesses. Those businesses earned $27 million in 2002, just $3 million shy of male-owned businesses. The study also found that women-owned businesses carried less debt than their male counterparts.
