Wal-Mart Versus The Union

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The National Labor Relations Board ruled in favor of Wal-Mart Stores Incorporated in a case in which a union accused the world`s largest retailer of unfair labor practices. The ruling centers on workers in a tire and lube center at a Wal-Mart store at Lake Elsinore, California. The decision reverses a decision by an administrative law judge, who ruled that Wal-Mart violated the law. Greg Denier, spokesman for the United Food and Commercial Workers union said the ruling is not significant in light of numerous other decisions the union has won against the company.
