State police are out in full force this Labor Day weekend. Its all part of a D-U-I crack down to keep you and your family safe on the roads. Police say their presence is needed this weekend because of previous alcohol-related accidents this time of years. Several arrests were already made Saturday morning. "People drink and drive all hours of the day. We`re going to make an effort to try and catch people day and night and not just at nighttime," Cpl. Mark Johnson of the Arkansas state police told News 4 Arkansas. In all, police tell us they made 32 arrests just at that one checkpoint, located at Arch Street and I-30. And they were only out there for an hour and a half.
