Updated: January 7, 2009
Little Rock businessman Frank Hickingbotham is donating $3 million to expand the school that bears his name at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. The money will be used to construct a 40,000 square foot, state-of-the-art building, complete with classrooms, a computer lab and seminar rooms. Hickingbotham Hall will serve as the anchor for a series of buildings known as the mega-structure, which houses the majority of classroom space at OBU. The gift will be matched through fundraising efforts. The total cost of construction, which begins next May, is estimated to be $6 million. Story filed by: Lyndall Stout
