City Applies For State Funds To Improve LR Zoo

The Little Rock Zoo could be a nicer place to visit, with potentially more than $120,000 worth of improvements. TUESDAY NIGHT, THE CITY AGREED TO APPLY FOR MORE THAN 60 THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF STATE GRANTS FOR NEW RESTROOM FACILITIES, A TROLLEY AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO. THE CITY SAYS, IF THE GRANT IS APPROVED, IT WILL MATCH THE MONEY DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR. THE ZOO WON THE LAST GRANT IT APPLIED FOR WITH THE STATE, TOTALING NEARLY $250,000.
