12-Year Old Comedian on His Way

Most children spent their summers playing the days away. But one local kid spent his days travelling to major cities around the country to make people laugh. Twelve-year old James "Lil` J.J." Lewis has left a few audiences in stitches after his stand-up comedy routine. "I do better with a big crowd, than a small one...cause when it`s a small crowd, I can see everybody`s eyes, they`re dead on me. I get nervous," J.J. said. He was considered a class clown in school at Mitchell Academy, even landing himself in a little trouble for it. But his P.E. teacher-turned-manager realized that his wit belonged on stage instead of just the classroom. "What made J.J. different than other class clowns is that his level of maturity...he had a way of really affecting grown people," says his manger Ken Bright, 2Bright Productions. J.J. has even made a few appearances in Little Rock at the Funny Bone and the Looney Bin. Bright and J.J. are hoping that he`ll start acting school in Los Angeles next week.
