His crime spree ended in Arkansas, but he`ll spend the rest of his life behind bars in Texas. A judge ordered Derek Hoffpauir to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to killing a 21 year old Vidor, Texas woman earlier this year. Hoffpauir was already sentenced to life in prison, plus 30 years in Saline County for attempted murder and aggravated robbery here. If Hoffpauir is ever released from Texas prison, he must start serving his Arkansas sentence.
