Arkansas Unemployment Rate Down

Arkansas` unemployment rate dropped slightly last month to five and a half percent, the same rate as in May. The Arkansas Employment Security Department says it was the first decline in the unemployment rate since January. The rate remains below the national figure of 6.2 percent for the month. The number of employed Arkansans in July was 1,232,600 people, while 71,100 people were jobless.
