Speaker of the House Robert S. Moore, Jr., today announced that he has appointed Raymond Frazier of Little Rock to serve on the Arkansas Lottery Commission.

Frazier served the residents of Southeast Arkansas for ten years as Community Affairs Specialist for U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln, providing constituent services for Delta counties.

"It was important for me to appoint someone to this position who is not only highly qualified, but who will do a good job representing all the people of Southeast Arkansas," said Moore. "Raymond has been dedicated to serving his state, and the Delta, throughout his career, and that spirit of service will be an asset to the Commission," said Moore.

Frazier is a member of several civic organizations, including the Drew County Boys and Girls Club, where he has served as a board member. He is also a DHS - certified foster parent for South Arkansas.

The Arkansas Lottery Commission consists of nine members, with the Governor, Speaker of the House, and President Pro Tempore of the Senate each appointing three members.

Frazier fills the unexpired term of Joe White, who was appointed for a six-year term, expiring in 2015.
