The first one: the Arkansas National Guard went out to help out the tornado victims and the flood victims in Garland, Carrol, Van Buren and Faulkner Counties. I'd like to say thanks to those guys, the soldiers and airmen who helped out.
My next announcement is the Arkansas River. The small craft warning is set at 70,000; right now the river is running 270,000 -- there is no reason to be out there right now.
Right now anglers, the wall eye are on fire at Greers Ferry Lake. My friend there Cody Smith will FishGreersFerry.com is catching 50 - 60 a day. You need to start in Cove Creek; not only is it good, it's clear even while most lakes in the state are coming up and muddying up. Right now, the walleye with a jighead nightcrawler -- you're going to catch some good fish on Greers Ferry.
Okay, my other spots right now is Little Red River. Billy Lindsey is catching the browns like they're going out of style right now. He's using shadraps and stick baits.
And Lake Ouachita -- the stripers are on fire. Use the C-10 red fin to really tear it up.
We'll see you next week!
