Food for Thought on The Last Supper

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: April 22, 2011
A British researcher is offering food for thought on the traditional Last Supper of Jesus.

The "Los Angeles Times" reports Cambridge University professor Colin Humphreys says he's determined the Last Supper was on a Wednesday not Holy Thursday.

Humphreys outlines his reevaluation of what Christians call the Holy Week in his book, "The Mystery of the Last Supper," which was published yesterday.

He believes Jesus actually had his last supper while in jail.

An ancient calendar from around the time of is death was used to deal with a problem of consistency between the Gospel of John and the so-called synoptic gospels of Matthew, Luke and Mark.
