Customers Say They're Happier with Their Banks

For the first time in more than three years, Americans say they're happier with their banks.

J.D. Power and Associates annual Retail Banking Satisfaction Study shows banks have improved customer interaction, access to account information and more product offerings that fit their lifestyles.

But not everything was better. What upset customers the most were fee charges.

While the number of customers reporting being charged fees actually declined, consumers said they were less satisfied with the way banks chose to impose the charges.
