American Foreclosure Filings Still Climbing

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: April 14, 2011
Foreclosure filings in March are up seven-percent compared to February.

RealtyTrac says filings will gradually rise as lenders resolve problems with paperwork processing.

RealtyTrac says 239-thousand-795 properties got some form of a foreclosure filing in March.

That figure was down 35-percent compared to last March.

RealtyTrac's senior vice president Rick Sharga says delays in foreclosure processing may negatively impact the housing recovery by pushing it back to late 2014 or in 2015.
