KARK is in the process of finishing up the final stages of what will be the latest evolution in local television.  That is of course making the switch to high definition.

The basics of the news business have not changed much over the years. Who, what, where, when and why are our basics for news, but how we deliver it, and where we deliver it from, sure has changed.

We have gone from the latest and greatest, to the latest and greatest, to the latest and greatest a few times over the years. Now it's time to take the next step and take down our current version of the latest and greatest.

So what will high definition demand of the KARK studio? It has served both of us well, you the viewer and us the broadcaster. But with growing needs, we need a growing space.

Many questions remain, will there even be an anchor desk? One thing is for sure, there will be news and plenty of it coming your way from over a dozen presentation areas in the h-d studio. Custom made high def graphics and more of the same cutting edge technology you've come to expect from kark. Some of the technology you've heard about, some you have yet to even read about.

As our news director Rob Heverling puts it - we want to change the way you watch news on a local level, and what we are doing will be unique as well as informative and will truly stand out. We'll keep you updated as we approach our mid April launch date.
