Space Shuttle Discovery Mission Continues

It's the first full day of Shuttle Discovery's final flight.

The spacecraft left launch pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida yesterday afternoon at 4:53 p.m. Eastern Time.

The shuttle and crew are scheduled to dock with the International Space Station on Saturday.

In addition to delivering supplies during the 11-day mission, astronauts are scheduled for two spacewalks, during which they'll do maintenance work and install new components.
