Delta's SkyMiles Won't Expire Any More

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: February 15, 2011
Delta Air Lines is doing away with deadlines for its frequent flier miles.

Its SkyMiles loyalty program will no longer jettison accrued miles if a traveler hasn't flown for 24 months.

Delta says it's the only major U.S. airline that won't let frequent flier miles expire.

The change is retroactive to January 1st of this year.

Industry analysts say the Atlanta-based carrier is hoping to lure more new business.
