Thousands of Fish Found Dead in Arkansas River

On Monday, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is expected to release the number of fish found dead in the Arkansas River over the weekend.

The number is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.

Officials say the fish kill only affected drum fish.

They believe disease is to blame because only one species of fish was found dead.

Fish were still floating up over a 20-mile stretch of the river as of Monday morning.
