Hundreds of skaters hit the ice in Little Rock Saturday for the first day of the River Market on Ice.

Workers have been building the outdoor ice rink for weeks and Saturday, it was officially opened.

Parents and kids laced up their skates and did their best to keep moving on the frozen floor.

It's the rink's first appearance in 10 years and kids say it's a hit.

River Market on Ice is open through January 9th and costs $8 per person.
