New Study Finds That Faith Matters

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: October 29, 2010

A new study indicates that faith really matters.

It claims the highest levels of well-being come from Americans who are the most religious.

That's the result of analysis of more than 550-thousand Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index interviews conducted over the past 18 months.

No precise determination of why the two are connected comes out of the study.

It's possible that Americans who experience higher well-being may be more likely to choose to be religious than those with lower well-being levels.

Or, it could be the personal importance of religion and frequent religious service attendance leads to a higher lever of personal well-being.
