Updated: September 10, 2010
Change is in the air for KARK-TV and its sister Little Rock station KARZ-TV.

Continuing their advancement toward bringing Full HD news to Central Arkansans, Nexstar Senior Vice President Rick Rogala announced today that the stations have entered into their final phase toward launching High Definition news.

The High Definition build out has been in full swing for the past year with a significant investment in market leading technology, including state of the art graphics equipment, cutting edge High Definition Cameras and the most advanced High Definition Weather System available in the industry.

The final phase of the project has already begun which includes a brand new state of the art control room with advanced high definition technology and a brand new news set and weather center built specifically to showcase KARK-TV’s and KARZ-TV’s news programs in High Definition.

Commenting on this final phase of development, Rogala said, “In an incomparable facility adjacent to our State Capital, with a futuristic master control hubbing operation that provides services to  five television stations within our group, combined with the most advanced news gathering and weather equipment available KARK-TV, KARZ-TV and ArkansasMatters.com have been the technology leaders in the market. Now, as we continue to lead (or “set the standard”) with this final phase of our build out, I am thrilled that we will be able to provide our viewers with a market leading High Definition local news product.”
