No Bond for Faulkner County Murder Suspect

A White County man accused in the murder of a Faulkner County woman is being held without bond following his first court appearance.
Ronald Adrean Britton, Jr., 34, is charged with capital murder in the stabbing death of Michelle Asher, 26, of Greenbrier.
Asher, a mother of three, was found dead in her backyard Saturday. Deputies say she had suffered multiple stab wounds. Click here for that story.
Britton appeared in Faulkner County Circuit Court today where prosecutors requested no bond due to the nature of the crime and his extensive criminal history.
His next court appearance will be October 23rd.
Meanwhile, an observant White County Sheriff's deputy gets the credit for catching Britton over the weekend.
On Saturday morning, the White County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office to be on the lookout for the Beebe man after Asher's body was found.
Deputies immediately began searching the area west of Beebe to El Paso. While searching around El Paso, Deputy Foster Steward saw a man fitting the suspect's description, who was later identified as Britton.
Deputy Steward and Corporal Wayne Heathscott approached and positively identified Britton, who was taken into custody after a brief struggle and held for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department.
Britton appeared in Faulkner County Circuit Court this afternoon where prosecutors requested no bond due to the nature of the crime and his extensive criminal history.
His next court appearance will be October 23rd.
