Organizations around Little Rock are doing their part to make sure kids are ready to head back to school.

Saint Mark Baptist Church wants to make sure kids have all they need before returning to class.

The church held its back to school health fair Saturday.  It wasn't just about school supplies. Kids also got their eyes and teeth checked, along with free immunization shots and a physical exams.

"We've got doctors and nurses that make up our congregation. They're giving back," said Outreach Pastor Glenn Hersey.

"All kinds of volunteers giving physicals to kids through out the community. Kids, athletes, cheerleaders that need physicals in order to complete the school process," he said. "It's our way of giving back."

Also giving back Saturday was Wilson Elementary.  The annual "Give a kid a chance" fair provided dental screenings, physical, and school supplies.

Principal Bevery Jones said the school also provided uniforms at the event.  This was the 4th year for the event at Wilson.
